Human Dermal Fibroblasts are available from either adult skin (NHDF-Ad) or neonatal foreskin (NHDF-Neo). They are derived from the dermis of normal human neonatal foreskin or adult skin. They are cryopreserved at the end of primary culture. Normal Human Epidermal Keratinocytes (catalog# 00192627) from matched donors are available for certain lots.

Lonza's human dermal fibroblasts are guaranteed through 15 population doublings when using FGM^®-2 Growth Media. Dermal fibroblasts are characterized by morphological observation throughout serial passage.

All cells test negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. HIV-1, hepatitis B and hepatitis C are not detected for all donors and/or cell lots. A Certificate of Analysis is provided for each cell lot purchased.
