Diseased Human Aortic Endothelial Cells are isolated from human donors that have been diagnosed with diabetes type I or type II disease. Diseased cells are grown in the same optimized media system as Normal Human Endothelial Cells.

Diabetic cultures can be used for experimental applications in diabetic-related cardiovascular pharmaceutical development, vascular pathology, including atherosclerosis. Cryopreserved Clonetics^TM Diabetic Human Aortic Endothelial Cells are shipped in third passage. Proliferating Clonetics^TM cells are shipped in fourth passage. All cells test negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. HIV-1, hepatitis B and hepatitis C are not detected for all donors and/or cell lots. A Certificate of Analysis is provided for each cell lot purchased.
